Responsibilities
- Design and deliver effective agentic AI experiences for Workday Financials customers.
- Lead end-to-end system design, implementation, and product integration for intelligent agents.
- Integrate foundation models and modern AI APIs into scalable, user-facing software.
- Design and orchestrate complex, multi-step agentic workflows.
- Set the strategy for evaluating agent performance, including tool use, task completion, and trajectories.
- Implement guardrails supporting data privacy, predictability, explainability, governance, and security.
- Address product constraints including latency, cost, and reliability.
- Collaborate in an iterative, team-oriented engineering environment.
- Share knowledge, mentor teammates, and raise the technical bar across the team.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering.
- 2+ years of experience integrating large models, including LLMs or foundation models, and modern AI APIs into user-facing products.
- 1+ years of experience in agent evaluations.
- Experience designing evaluation datasets, test suites, and automated metrics tied to product requirements, including golden sets, production traces, and synthetic data.
- Experience evaluating multi-step agent behavior, including tool use, task completion, and trajectories.
- Experience with production evaluation frameworks such as LangSmith or Langfuse.
- Knowledge of software development best practices, DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and observability.
- Track record of technical leadership and mentoring engineers.
- Understanding of governance, guardrails, and security practices for deploying agents over sensitive enterprise data.
- Strong communication, collaboration, independent execution, ambiguity management, and commitment to inclusive teamwork.
