Responsibilities
- Set technical direction and oversee complex, highly visible engineering projects with significant strategic and enterprise impact.
- Advance data architecture, engineering standards, technology capabilities, and delivery excellence across data domains.
- Provide technical governance, consultative guidance, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and other technology and business groups.
- Develop and implement data architecture patterns, data models, governance frameworks, data quality controls, and monitoring frameworks.
- Guide data products supporting analytics, regulatory compliance, and customer-centric initiatives.
- Enforce coding standards and engineering best practices across data engineering work.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or graduate degree with a strong academic background in computer science, engineering, or a related area, or 15+ years of relevant experience.
- Principal-level expertise in a defined technology domain and broad engineering leadership experience.
- Three or more years of demonstrated AI experience preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud data platforms.
- Strong experience with batch, streaming, and real-time data architecture patterns.
- Expertise in dimensional and domain-driven data modeling, SQL, Python, and distributed data processing framework optimization.
- Deep understanding of data governance, including lineage, metadata, and cataloging.
- Experience implementing data quality controls and monitoring frameworks.
- Knowledge of BSA/AML, audit, data controls, privacy, and other regulatory requirements.
- Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps for data engineering.
- Executive-level communication and stakeholder management across Product, Technology, Risk, and Business teams.
