Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, development, implementation, and modernization of enterprise finance technology solutions.
  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines and event-driven architectures using Python, Apache Spark, Kafka, and streaming technologies.
  • Lead integrations among Oracle E-Business Suite, accounting platforms, regulatory reporting systems, and enterprise data warehouses.
  • Develop and support financial transaction processing services, accounting engines, reconciliation platforms, and reporting applications.
  • Drive cloud-native modernization, containerization, infrastructure automation, deployment automation, and operational excellence.
  • Establish engineering standards, architecture patterns, coding practices, security controls, resiliency practices, and data governance processes.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and coaching to software engineers and technical leads.
  • Lead root cause analysis for complex production issues and implement long-term remediation strategies.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, Risk, Audit, Regulatory Reporting, cybersecurity, cloud engineering, infrastructure, and enterprise architecture stakeholders.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of software engineering experience or equivalent experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • At least 5 years of Python and object-oriented software development experience.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on Apache Spark experience for large-scale data processing and analytics.
  • At least 5 years of technical leadership experience leading complex initiatives and engineering teams.
  • Experience designing and implementing Kafka-based messaging and event-streaming solutions.
  • Knowledge of APIs, microservices architecture, distributed systems, relational databases, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud and with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
  • Understanding of software security, data privacy, resiliency, monitoring, observability, data governance, data lineage, and auditability.
  • Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite financial modules, enterprise accounting engines, regulatory reporting, or financial transaction processing platforms.
  • Knowledge of finance processes and systems including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Subledger Accounting, Oracle ERP, or SAP.
  • Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, or container-based deployments.
  • Experience working in regulated financial services environments.
