Responsibilities
- Implement ALM models and logic in Python.
- Integrate pricing and risk analytics with other quantitative teams and provide ALM design and implementation expertise.
- Analyze performance and execute optimization plans for the strategic valuation and risk platform.
- Design, develop, test, implement, and deploy software and performance improvements.
- Participate in complex software design, development, project planning, and Agile SDLC activities.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, quantitative teams, technology partners, project managers, and portfolio management partners.
- Apply quantitative and technology techniques to solve complex business and risk problems.
- Produce high-quality software and documentation while meeting compliance and risk-management requirements.
Requirements
- 7+ years of securities quantitative analytics experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- 7+ years of professional Python 3 experience.
- Preferred 5+ years of hands-on Python and C++ coding experience.
- Preferred 3+ years of product and market experience across rates, foreign exchange, credit, mortgages, and structured products.
- Preferred 3+ years of quantitative analytics library software development experience in a buy-side, sell-side, or quant-solution-vendor environment.
- Preferred 1+ year of hands-on ALM framework or ALM vendor software experience.
- Preferred expertise in Python performance, CPython internals, interoperability, GPU programming, distributed systems, multithreading, multiprocessing, and production systems under strict latency or throughput constraints.
- Experience interpreting and solving risk problems is preferred.
- A master's degree or higher in computer science or finance/mathematics is preferred.
- Experience with software development cycles and tools such as Git, Jira, and Confluence is preferred.
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, communication, and consensus-building skills are required.
