Responsibilities
- Participate in software design, implementation, and deployment.
- Own delivery metrics while collaborating with Agile Delivery managers on resource planning and risk management.
- Work with functional subject-matter experts, frontend developers, and business stakeholders to develop API-first systems.
- Develop server-side and full-stack functionality using Java, React, Node.js, and Kafka.
- Collaborate with global teams across time zones using Microsoft Teams, Azure DevOps, GitHub comments, documents, and videoconferences.
- Ensure application performance, uptime, scalability, code quality, and application design standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
- 4–6 years of experience in a related field.
- Experience in mortgage or financial services, including loan servicing systems, document management, or SaaS platforms, is a plus.
- Deep expertise in cloud-native architecture and SaaS platforms.
- Experience building large-scale enterprise distributed event-driven applications.
- Experience designing, building, and integrating APIs and event-driven messaging frameworks.
- Familiarity with security and compliance standards, particularly in fintech or mortgage, is a plus.
- Knowledge of enterprise and integration design patterns, Node.js, Java, Kafka, databases, API gateways, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Understanding of business process management engines and business rules engines.
- Knowledge of application scaling and performance tuning.
- Experience setting up observability and logging tools or frameworks.
- Experience with API standards, unit and integration testing, and SonarQube.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, Maven, or shell scripting.
- Understanding of Docker containers and CI/CD pipelines.
