Responsibilities

  • Participate in software design, implementation, and deployment.
  • Own delivery metrics while collaborating with Agile Delivery managers on resource planning and risk management.
  • Work with functional subject-matter experts, frontend developers, and business stakeholders to develop API-first systems.
  • Develop server-side and full-stack functionality using Java, React, Node.js, and Kafka.
  • Collaborate with global teams across time zones using Microsoft Teams, Azure DevOps, GitHub comments, documents, and videoconferences.
  • Ensure application performance, uptime, scalability, code quality, and application design standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 4–6 years of experience in a related field.
  • Experience in mortgage or financial services, including loan servicing systems, document management, or SaaS platforms, is a plus.
  • Deep expertise in cloud-native architecture and SaaS platforms.
  • Experience building large-scale enterprise distributed event-driven applications.
  • Experience designing, building, and integrating APIs and event-driven messaging frameworks.
  • Familiarity with security and compliance standards, particularly in fintech or mortgage, is a plus.
  • Knowledge of enterprise and integration design patterns, Node.js, Java, Kafka, databases, API gateways, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Understanding of business process management engines and business rules engines.
  • Knowledge of application scaling and performance tuning.
  • Experience setting up observability and logging tools or frameworks.
  • Experience with API standards, unit and integration testing, and SonarQube.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, Maven, or shell scripting.
  • Understanding of Docker containers and CI/CD pipelines.
