Responsibilities
- Develop and drive the Home Systems Software build and release process.
- Maintain, improve, and advance existing build and release tooling.
- Design, architect, and implement tools that optimize engineering workflows and developer productivity.
- Use AI tools to improve personal efficiency and incorporate AI into automation, tooling, and support workflows.
- Apply source control and branching best practices across the engineering organization.
- Build large-scale software and triage build and release failures.
- Work effectively with engineering teams across Apple.
Requirements
- Experience developing automation and streamlining developer productivity.
- Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools, including coding assistants and LLM-based tools.
- Hands-on experience with continuous integration and delivery platforms such as Jenkins.
- Advanced experience with source control such as Git.
- Experience with branching strategies and best practices.
- Experience building large-scale software and triaging failures.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a software build and release-related role preferred.
- Experience incorporating AI into automation, including LLM-powered tooling, agents, or Model Context Protocol integrations preferred.
- Experience with Xcode, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, and Bitbucket preferred.
