Base Salary
$97k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, debug, and optimize distributed cloud metering systems for pricing, rating, and billing.
- Develop backend services, APIs, and batch and streaming data pipelines.
- Ensure data correctness using validation, deduplication, retries, idempotency, and reconciliation.
- Improve scalability, throughput, latency, and resource efficiency.
- Collaborate with compute, networking, storage, and commercial platform teams to deliver production features.
- Participate in design and code reviews, automated testing, security, monitoring, alerting, production debugging, on-call support, deployments, and rollbacks.
- Provide technical leadership to other software developers and implement changes to existing software architecture.
Requirements
- Experience developing, debugging, or designing software applications or operating systems.
- Experience with Java, Python, Spark, and managed cloud processing platforms such as Data Flow.
- Ability to develop backend services, APIs, and batch and streaming data pipelines.
- Ability to address data correctness, scalability, reliability, and production operations concerns.
- Ability to provide technical leadership and contribute to software architecture changes.
