Responsibilities
- Translate client business processes, engineering requirements, and functional specifications into detailed Siemens Teamcenter and/or NX technical designs.
- Act as the bridge between process consultants, business analysts, solution architects, client SMEs, configurators, and developers.
- Design and specify Teamcenter components including BMIDE data model changes, item types, properties, relations, LOVs, workflows, change objects, access controls, organisation structures, preferences, classification, templates, and reports.
- Design and specify NX and managed NX configurations, including CAD data management behaviours, templates, attributes, naming conventions, revision handling, release processes, and Teamcenter integrations.
- Produce technical design documents, configuration specifications, solution option papers, and build guidance.
- Make design decisions balancing business needs, user experience, technical feasibility, delivery cost, and long-term maintainability.
Requirements
- Strong experience designing and implementing Siemens Teamcenter and/or NX solutions in complex engineering or manufacturing environments.
- Understanding of engineering, manufacturing, configuration management, change management, and product lifecycle processes supported by PLM and CAD platforms.
- Hands-on knowledge of Teamcenter configuration and architecture, potentially including BMIDE, workflow designer, access manager, organisation modelling, preferences, change management, structure management, classification, and reporting.
- Hands-on knowledge of NX and managed NX configuration, potentially including CAD templates, attributes, reuse libraries, part families, drafting standards, customer defaults, and Teamcenter integration.
- Experience working with configurators, developers, testers, architects, business analysts, and client stakeholders in an agile or iterative delivery environment.
- Eligible to work as a sole UK national and eligible for SC clearance.
