$230k - $310k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement solutions for horizontally scaling PostgreSQL.
- Own database performance, availability, and reliability as usage grows.
- Debug complex issues across large datasets and optimize query performance.
- Establish best practices for database design and query optimization.
- Collaborate with backend, data, and infrastructure engineers to align database strategy with product needs.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with expertise in large-scale relational database systems.
- Expert-level understanding of PostgreSQL and horizontal scaling techniques.
- Strong programming skills in at least one backend language.
- Experience with large-scale event streaming systems, preferably Apache Kafka.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to engineers across teams.
