Base Salary
$175k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own technical delivery of Cape products from prototype through operational acceptance and sustainment in federal, national security, and enterprise environments.
- Embed with customer teams to understand workflows, threat models, and operational constraints.
- Configure, integrate, and tune Cape’s mobile core capabilities for deployment-specific mission profiles.
- Lead customer exercises, pilots, and demonstrations that produce decision-quality evidence.
- Provide technical support during live operations and incidents, perform root-cause analyses, and drive preventive fixes into the platform.
- Write production-grade code for integrations, tooling, glue code, and one-off deployment capabilities.
- Prototype and validate product features in the field and collaborate with core engineering teams on successful solutions.
- Translate customer mission requirements into prioritized engineering work and communicate engineering constraints to customers.
- Advocate for customer priorities using deployment data, operator feedback, blocking issues, and cost-of-inaction evidence.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Business Development, and Solutions Architects on roadmaps, captures, pilots, and follow-on opportunities.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in software engineering or forward deployed engineering.
- Technical competency across coding, debugging networking issues, systems-level tradeoffs, and multiple technical domains.
- Ability to scope ambiguous problems, sequence delivery, and prioritize independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for customer sessions, executive briefings, and engineering documentation.
- High ownership, resourcefulness, and demonstrated ability to deliver technical customer work end to end.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. Top Secret security clearance; active TS is strongly preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% to customer sites, military installations, and partner locations.
- Based in Washington, DC or New York initially with expected relocation to Asia-Pacific, or already located in the Asia-Pacific region.
- Preferred qualifications include active TS/SCI clearance, Mandarin fluency, military or government experience, communications/signals/cyber/intelligence experience, mobile network or telecommunications background, networking infrastructure or cybersecurity experience, startup experience, mentoring experience, and a record of moving field-driven features into a core product roadmap.
