Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate resilient application and traffic management systems for critical production services.
  • Develop and maintain automation for deployment, configuration management, and service reliability.
  • Maintain availability and performance through load balancing, network optimization, and failure recovery strategies.
  • Improve monitoring, alerting, and incident response for high availability and rapid issue resolution.
  • Optimize and scale hybrid infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with product and security teams on privacy, data protection, and secure infrastructure practices.
  • Document systems and share knowledge to support continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a similar field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP/HTTPS traffic management.
  • Experience deploying, tuning, and maintaining high-performance load balancing solutions such as HAProxy, Envoy, or Traefik.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration in production environments.
  • Experience developing software and automation in one or more programming languages such as Python, Rust, or Go.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues across network, application, and system layers.
  • Understanding of secure infrastructure practices and a strong security mindset.
  • Bonus experience with traffic shaping, rate limiting, DDoS mitigation, Kubernetes service optimization, and infrastructure as code using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with privacy-focused infrastructure challenges and solutions.
