Responsibilities
- Build and evolve horizontal infrastructure and tooling underpinning commercialization systems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop systems and processes as organizational needs grow.
- Scale systems to support commercial expansion and increasing complexity.
- Solve real-world infrastructure problems, including world simulation for regression testing and evaluation of fleet-management software services.
- Collaborate technically across mobile applications, cloud backends, and the Waymo Driver, and functionally with operations, product, legal, partnerships, policy, and privacy teams.
Requirements
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of backend engineering or infrastructure experience.
- Experience with C++ or willingness to participate in professional development activities to stay current on industry knowledge.
- Experience working with nontechnical team members.
- Experience with operations tooling, developer productivity, or developer tools.
