
Automation Test Engineer

- Design, develop, and maintain Python-based testing infrastructure, frameworks, and tools.
- Implement scalable and maintainable automated testing solutions, including performance-testing solutions.
- Improve the reliability and performance of testing infrastructure.
- Review, refactor, and improve the existing Python codebase.
- Analyze performance-test results and investigate degradations and improvements.
- Analyze automated-test results, reproduce issues, and report defects in testing frameworks and products under test.
- Develop and implement test plans and test cases for backend and client/server applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an engineering discipline.
- At least two years of hands-on software development experience with Python, including object-oriented programming, concurrency, performance optimization, debugging, and modules or packages.
- Experience designing code according to requirements and goals, including decomposing solutions and selecting appropriate data structures.
- Experience with a testing framework such as pytest or unittest.
- Knowledge of networks and network protocols.
- Experience with network programming in Python using socket, WebSocket, or asyncio.
- At least two years of hands-on testing experience with backend and client/server applications.
- Experience designing and developing automated testing frameworks and tools.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git and bug tracking systems such as Jira.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and teamwork skills, with careful attention to detail.
- C# experience, performance-testing experience, futures/commodities/stock-market knowledge, and trading experience are helpful or preferred.
