Responsibilities

Build Mercury’s integration with an FFIEC-approved bank core and payment networks.
Design internal APIs for product teams to interface with complex external systems.
Manage enterprise integration challenges such as retries, failures, and format mismatches.
Develop data pipelines to keep systems in sync with the bank core.
Own monitoring, alerting, and recovery for critical external connections.
Collaborate with teams to define clean boundaries and reliable contracts.
Contribute to shaping the technical architecture of Mercury Bank.

Have direct experience with an FFIEC-compliant bank core or a Global Systemically Important Bank.
Understand core banking systems, including accounts, transactions, and ledgers.
Possess a product-minded approach, focusing on API consumers.
Thrive in environments focused on building new systems.
Be comfortable with Haskell and TypeScript or willing to learn.
Have strong opinions on building reliable and maintainable systems.
