Base Salary
$190k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive the full lifecycle of applied AI systems from problem framing and model selection through implementation, automated evaluation, and scalable production deployment.
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of customer-facing AI products.
- Act as the technical lead for product areas, mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and improve engineering standards and shipping velocity.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Data, Operations, clinical, and compliance teams to deliver safe, trustworthy, and practical AI solutions.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of non-internship experience in software engineering and applied AI/ML engineering.
- Proven track record of shipping products from concept through production.
- High proficiency in Python.
- Extensive experience operating within modern cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Hands-on experience deploying, monitoring, and scaling LLM applications.
- Strong expertise in RAG architectures, agentic workflows, model fine-tuning, automated performance measurement, data processing and orchestration workflows, and human-in-the-loop AI pipelines.
- Preferred experience establishing data security best practices and privacy guardrails for LLMs.
- Highly desirable experience in regulated environments or healthcare data compliance, including HIPAA or SOC2.
- A bachelor's, master's, or PhD in computer science or a related technical discipline is preferred.
