Base Salary
$162k - $259k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, operate, and scale Cortex services powering internal chat experiences, agents, AI applications, and enterprise integrations.
- Develop connectors and MCP integrations that allow LLMs to securely read and write data across systems such as Jira, Quip, Slack, Microsoft 365, and Snowflake.
- Drive AI features through the complete lifecycle from prototype to hardened production service, including implementation, testing, rollout, and operations.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, auditing, telemetry, and usage controls to improve reliability, latency, cost, and system health.
- Define best practices and reference architectures for LLM solutions, prompt engineering, RAG, agentic workflows, observability, scalability, resiliency, and secure tool use.
- Implement secure patterns for API keys, secrets, permissions, model access, data access, logging, and responsible AI governance.
- Create starter kits, templates, training content, documentation, and other enablement resources for engineers and analysts.
- Collaborate with Corporate AI, Data Engineering, Security, Governance, architecture, and business teams to turn workflows into repeatable AI solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production services or platforms.
- Strong proficiency in at least one of Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or Java.
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Understanding of web-service fundamentals, APIs, authentication and authorization, observability, CI/CD, and reliable maintainable system design.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in AI/ML and LLMs, such as integrating OpenAI or Bedrock APIs, building GPT-style applications, or using AI-assisted development tools.
- Basic understanding of security practices including secrets management, least-privilege access, and audit logging.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in a fast-moving, experimental environment.
- Preferred experience includes OpenAI, ChatGPT APIs, AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Azure ML Studio, enterprise integrations, RAG, semantic search, vector stores, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, application monitoring, internal platforms, self-service tools, training, documentation, office hours, or community programs.
