Responsibilities

  • Design and implement end-to-end automation frameworks and testing strategies for complex cross-team features.
  • Own automation roadmaps for one or more modules, including strategic goals, execution plans, and success metrics.
  • Build and maintain functional, performance, resiliency, and security automation tools integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Design scalable test infrastructure for distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native platforms.
  • Perform frontend, backend, API, performance, load, stress, and distributed-system validation.
  • Use AI-assisted tooling, LLM-powered test generation, self-healing automation, and agentic QA workflows.
  • Drive AI-assisted CI/CD validation, failure triage, predictive quality analysis, synthetic monitoring, and production validation.
  • Identify testability gaps and improve automation coverage, reliability, observability, and engineering efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, platform, QA, and TPM teams to support reliable releases.
  • Provide technical mentorship to SDETs and engineers on automation design, AI-assisted engineering, and code quality.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in SDET contributions, automation engineering, and quality tooling.
  • Advanced proficiency in testing methodologies, automation frameworks, debugging techniques, and distributed-system validation.
  • Experience building and maintaining test infrastructure across multiple platforms and services.
  • Strong command of algorithms, data structures, databases, and scripting languages including SQL, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Java.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, performance engineering tools, observability platforms, and monitoring systems.
  • Deep expertise in API and backend testing, preferably with AWS and distributed systems such as Kafka and Kinesis.
  • Experience setting up performance, load, and stress testing infrastructure at scale.
  • Practical experience using AI-assisted development and automation tools.
  • Understanding of intelligent test generation, self-healing automation, autonomous validation workflows, and agentic QA systems.
  • Ability to evaluate and integrate emerging AI tooling into engineering and quality workflows.
  • Preferred experience with cloud-native QA automation architecture, event-driven systems, distributed test environments, observability tools, AI-powered testing platforms, autonomous QA agents, synthetic monitoring, chaos engineering, intelligent release governance, microservices, and workflow orchestration systems.
