Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end automation frameworks and testing strategies for complex cross-team features.
- Own automation roadmaps for one or more modules, including strategic goals, execution plans, and success metrics.
- Build and maintain functional, performance, resiliency, and security automation tools integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
- Design scalable test infrastructure for distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native platforms.
- Perform frontend, backend, API, performance, load, stress, and distributed-system validation.
- Use AI-assisted tooling, LLM-powered test generation, self-healing automation, and agentic QA workflows.
- Drive AI-assisted CI/CD validation, failure triage, predictive quality analysis, synthetic monitoring, and production validation.
- Identify testability gaps and improve automation coverage, reliability, observability, and engineering efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, platform, QA, and TPM teams to support reliable releases.
- Provide technical mentorship to SDETs and engineers on automation design, AI-assisted engineering, and code quality.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in SDET contributions, automation engineering, and quality tooling.
- Advanced proficiency in testing methodologies, automation frameworks, debugging techniques, and distributed-system validation.
- Experience building and maintaining test infrastructure across multiple platforms and services.
- Strong command of algorithms, data structures, databases, and scripting languages including SQL, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Java.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, performance engineering tools, observability platforms, and monitoring systems.
- Deep expertise in API and backend testing, preferably with AWS and distributed systems such as Kafka and Kinesis.
- Experience setting up performance, load, and stress testing infrastructure at scale.
- Practical experience using AI-assisted development and automation tools.
- Understanding of intelligent test generation, self-healing automation, autonomous validation workflows, and agentic QA systems.
- Ability to evaluate and integrate emerging AI tooling into engineering and quality workflows.
- Preferred experience with cloud-native QA automation architecture, event-driven systems, distributed test environments, observability tools, AI-powered testing platforms, autonomous QA agents, synthetic monitoring, chaos engineering, intelligent release governance, microservices, and workflow orchestration systems.
