Responsibilities
- Partner with product-minded engineers to shape prototypes for production.
- Co-own the transition from demo to stable production, focusing on hardening and error handling.
- Own the production bar for prototypes, ensuring security and review practices are met.
- Work with reference customers to integrate Tailscale for internal and product use.
- Identify and resolve long-tail gaps and edge cases in prototypes.
- Establish review, testing, and security practices for agent-generated code.
- Light travel required for team events and customer visits.
Requirements
- Experience taking software from prototype to production in startup-like environments.
- Strong skills in hardening and maintaining production software.
- Proficiency in Go and comfort with integrating third-party APIs.
- Daily use of coding agents and LLMs in engineering workflows.
- Ability to collaborate closely with exploratory engineers.
- Comfort with a fast-paced, shifting priority environment.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
