Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and deploy AI and machine learning systems that address banking business challenges.
- Research and apply generative AI models, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation, tool integration, and agentic system design.
- Create evaluation frameworks to assess model performance, detect hallucinations, and ensure output quality.
- Extract insights from complex data and apply predictive modeling, machine learning, optimization, and statistically valid experimentation.
- Establish enterprise-wide AI technical standards, reference architectures, design reviews, and model lifecycle gates.
- Lead cross-team technical initiatives and collaborate with software, cloud, data engineering, data science, compliance, and security teams.
- Communicate technical findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders and mentor colleagues.
- Maintain model documentation and help ensure AI solutions meet financial regulatory, risk, security, and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- At least 6 years of experience developing and deploying machine learning or AI solutions in production environments.
- Strong Python programming skills and familiarity with JavaScript and SQL.
- Expertise in generative AI, including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation, evaluation frameworks, tool integration, and agentic systems.
- Experience with AWS cloud services, machine learning frameworks, data visualization, deep learning, neural networks, traditional machine learning algorithms, and model optimization.
- Knowledge of AI orchestration frameworks, version control, CI/CD, DevOps practices, containerization, Infrastructure as Code, AI observability, data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Strong communication, analytical, mentoring, consensus-building, prioritization, and independent problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of ethical considerations in AI deployment and financial regulatory requirements.
