Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery for strategic opportunities and translate business goals into measurable technical success criteria and evaluation plans.
- Design, scope, and execute POCs by defining datasets, metrics, timelines, and technical win criteria.
- Build lightweight prototypes, sample integrations, and demos using Deepgram SDKs and APIs.
- Advise customers on architecture for accuracy, latency, scalability, cost, cloud, self-hosted, hybrid, and data residency requirements.
- Lead APAC security and compliance discussions involving Singapore PDPA, Japan APPI, Korea PIPA, Australia’s Privacy Act, and India’s DPDP Act.
- Triage and debug evaluation issues and coordinate with Product, Engineering, and Support to unblock customers.
- Create reusable samples, reference architectures, runbooks, field guides, and other scalable technical assets.
- Partner with Solutions Architects and Support through post-sale continuity and expansion phases.
- Enable Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, and partners through positioning, demos, and technical validation.
- Own strategic evaluations and opportunities, conduct technical deal reviews, deliver customer architecture workshops, and convert recurring ticket patterns into reusable accelerators.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Solutions Engineering or a similar customer-facing technical pre-sales role.
- Professional software engineering experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Rust, or another comparable language, with the ability to build usable POCs and tools.
- Hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, networking fundamentals, and secure API design.
- Proven experience leading enterprise-customer POCs and achieving technical wins.
- Strong written and verbal communication with technical and executive audiences.
- Preferred experience with speech recognition, text-to-speech, voice quality analysis, or AI agents orchestrating LLMs.
- Preferred familiarity with SIP, WebRTC, streaming, WebSocket integrations, self-hosted and hybrid deployments, Helm-based installations, production observability, authentication, authorization, and APAC data residency topics.
- Additional Asian language fluency, such as Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, or Hindi, is preferred.
