Base Salary

$111k - $147k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute manual and automated test plans, cases, and scripts for radar software and firmware, including functional, regression, integration, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
  • Identify, document, track, reproduce, and debug software and firmware defects and verify fixes with developers.
  • Build and maintain software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop test infrastructure, including test rigs, emulators, and harnesses.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that run automated test suites and provide actionable feedback.
  • Create tooling for collecting, cataloging, retaining, retrieving, and replaying radar test data.
  • Support repeatable deployment of firmware and software updates to lab hardware, test benches, and fielded units.
  • Develop release-assurance workflows covering test evidence, release notes, software bills of materials, artifact versioning, and traceability.
  • Partner with software, firmware, systems, and configuration-management teams to define release criteria and verify software quality.
  • Improve testing methodologies, coding standards, and release practices as the radar software portfolio scales.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in software quality assurance, software test engineering, or software development infrastructure.
  • Experience developing automated unit-, integration-, or system-level tests.
  • Proficiency in Python for test automation and scripting.
  • Working proficiency in C++ to understand, instrument, and debug production software.
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD tooling.
  • Experience with bug-tracking systems such as Jira.
  • Experience testing and debugging software in Linux environments.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Preferred: experience with hardware-in-the-loop or software-in-the-loop infrastructure, high-volume test datasets, release automation, artifact management, software bill of materials generation, software configuration management, firmware or embedded-software deployment, Nix or NixOS, Docker, or LLM-assisted coding with tools such as Claude Code or Codex.
