Responsibilities
- Develop and execute manual and automated functional, regression, integration, and hardware-in-the-loop tests for radar software and firmware.
- Build and maintain software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop infrastructure, including test rigs, emulators, and harnesses.
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines that run automated test suites and provide actionable feedback.
- Identify, document, reproduce, debug, and verify software and firmware defects.
- Develop tooling to collect, catalog, retain, retrieve, and replay radar test data reproducibly.
- Support repeatable deployment of software and firmware updates to lab hardware, test benches, and fielded units.
- Build release-assurance workflows covering test evidence, release notes, software bills of materials, artifact versioning, and traceability.
- Partner with software, firmware, systems, and configuration-management teams to define release criteria and verify quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in software quality assurance, software test engineering, or software development infrastructure.
- Experience developing automated unit-, integration-, or system-level tests.
- Proficiency in Python and working proficiency in C++ for understanding, instrumenting, and debugging production software.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD tooling, bug-tracking systems such as Jira, and testing and debugging in Linux environments.
- Strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Preferred experience includes hardware-in-the-loop or software-in-the-loop infrastructure, high-volume test datasets, release automation, artifact management, software bill of materials generation, configuration management, firmware or embedded-software deployment, Nix or NixOS, Docker, and LLM coding tools such as Claude Code or Codex.
