Responsibilities
- Develop and execute manual and automated functional, regression, integration, and hardware-in-the-loop tests for radar software and firmware.
- Identify, document, reproduce, debug, and verify fixes for software and firmware defects.
- Build software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop infrastructure, including test rigs, emulators, and harnesses.
- Build and maintain pipelines that run automated test suites and provide feedback across radar products.
- Develop tooling to collect, catalog, retain, retrieve, and replay radar test data reproducibly.
- Support repeatable deployment of software and firmware updates to lab hardware, test benches, and fielded units.
- Create release-assurance workflows covering test evidence, release notes, software bills of materials, artifact versioning, and traceability.
- Partner with software, firmware, systems, and configuration-management teams to define release criteria and verify quality standards.
- Improve testing methodologies, coding standards, and release practices as the radar portfolio scales.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, software test engineering, or software development infrastructure.
- Experience developing unit-, integration-, or system-level automated tests.
- Proficiency in Python for test automation and scripting.
- Working proficiency in C++ to understand, instrument, and debug production software.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD tooling.
- Experience with bug-tracking systems such as Jira.
- Experience testing and debugging software in Linux environments.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills with excellent written and verbal communication.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Preferred: experience with hardware-in-the-loop or software-in-the-loop infrastructure; large test datasets; release automation, artifact management, software bill of materials generation, or software configuration management; firmware or embedded-software deployment pipelines; Nix or NixOS; Docker; or code analysis with LLMs such as Claude Code or Codex.
