Responsibilities
- Design and deliver highly performant, reliable, intuitive AI agents for production environments.
- Own the Agent Development Life Cycle from initial pilot through deployment and continuous iteration.
- Build, tune, and evolve AI agents operating across industries including finance, healthcare, and commerce.
- Partner directly with enterprise leaders and startups to understand challenges and develop AI agent solutions.
- Prototype tools and features and use customer needs to guide Sierra’s core platform evolution.
- Collaborate with research, product, and platform teams on AI agent development.
- Develop industry-specific agent frameworks and experiment with voice models at enterprise scale.
Requirements
- Experience building and scaling end-to-end production systems.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills in fast-changing and ambiguous environments.
- A builder and tinkerer mindset with high agency and a focus on shipping.
- Comfort working directly with customers to understand their needs and solve real-world problems.
- Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience building or deploying AI or LLM systems in production is preferred.
- Founder or founding engineer experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with evaluation frameworks, agent tooling, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering is preferred.
- Prior experience with React, TypeScript, or Go is preferred.
- Previous customer-facing or external technical project leadership experience is preferred.
