Base Salary
$202k - $276k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own architecture and technical patterns for cross-border money movement and digital asset settlement systems.
- Resolve complex technical, scalability, reliability, security, and compliance challenges across distributed payment platforms.
- Lead technical product design, architecture, and department-wide technical vision.
- Partner with product management, software engineering, architecture, customers, and other cross-functional teams on strategy and roadmaps.
- Mentor and coach engineers, guide technical teams, and share engineering knowledge and best practices.
- Create and deliver technical presentations and serve as a senior point of expertise on software engineering issues and industry trends.
- Support risk management and protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or experience typically equivalent to that background.
- 15 or more years designing and developing complex software projects, including at least 8 years in the FinTech domain.
- Proven experience leading the design and evolution of complex, large-scale payment or cross-border transaction platforms in regulated environments.
- Deep technical understanding of digital asset or stablecoin-based systems, including security, scalability, and operational reliability.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and designing and building complex end-to-end systems as a full-stack developer.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle practices, development methodologies, and DevOps practices.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Java/J2EE, JUnit, Tomcat, Spring, Kafka or comparable messaging technologies, Oracle PL/SQL, JavaScript frameworks, test automation, CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, repositories, and tracking tools.
- Experience with object-oriented analysis and design, database design and architectures, and cloud orchestration technologies.
- Strong communication, public speaking, presentation, mentoring, and influencing skills.
- Preferred qualifications include an M.S. or Ph.D. in computer science or another technical field; knowledge of Splunk, Altiris, Zabbix, ACH/EFT, RTP, and FedNow; AWS experience; Terraform expertise; AppDynamics experience; and additional programming experience with C#, Ruby, Python, or PHP.
- Successful completion of a background and drug screen.
