Responsibilities
- Implement server features, components, and services using EA’s Digital Platform technologies.
- Create and maintain client code that supports features and improves multiplayer experiences.
- Optimize client and server online systems for latency, reliability, scalability, performance, and memory.
- Design and iterate on architecture and infrastructure improvements for live systems and workflows.
- Collaborate with partner teams to establish and maintain online infrastructure and services.
- Own features across the full stack, from game-client UI through backend services and databases.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of software development experience.
- Strong proficiency with C#/.NET for backend services and C++ for Unreal Engine game development.
- Experience developing and debugging multithreaded or concurrent architectures.
- Familiarity with database technologies such as MySQL, SQL, and Redis.
- Knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP and UDP.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.
- Experience with networked applications or features, game consoles, network optimization, service reliability, log analysis, Splunk, Linux, Visual Studio, and debugging tools is preferred.
