Responsibilities
- Define the long-term AI-native architecture and multi-year technical evolution of the Salesforce DX developer platform.
- Design stateful multi-agent orchestration engines that decompose features, generate code, manage dependencies, and self-correct using runtime feedback.
- Define interoperability protocols and schema contracts, including Model Context Protocol, for agents, platform tools, IDE extensions, and Salesforce services.
- Design abstractions connecting LLM capabilities with Salesforce metadata, dependency graphs, Apex execution models, and LWC component hierarchies.
- Build real-time retrieval and graph-based code-indexing architectures for semantic understanding of large enterprise orgs.
- Redefine Salesforce CLI, DX Workspaces, and Agentforce Vibes workflows for human and autonomous-agent collaboration.
- Design isolated execution sandboxes, safety and evaluation frameworks, security controls, static analysis, test coverage enforcement, and governance rules.
- Implement observability, audit logging, and provenance tracking for machine-generated code changes.
- Write production code, author SDKs, prototype agent workflows, and optimize vector and graph search performance and API latency.
- Drive technical direction across AI Platform, Agentforce, Core Platform, Security, Trust, DevOps, and Runtime Infrastructure, while mentoring senior technical leaders.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience designing, building, and operating production-scale distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
- High proficiency in Java, Go, TypeScript, or Python and a demonstrated record of taking ambiguous concepts into production.
- Practical understanding of Salesforce metadata architectures, deployment models, Apex, and LWC.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, AI agents, retrieval systems, tool calling, MCP ecosystems, evaluation frameworks, and multi-agent orchestration platforms.
- Experience implementing sandboxing, static analysis, policy enforcement, compliance, and observability for code-generation pipelines.
- Ability to lead cross-functional technical initiatives, build consensus without direct authority, and communicate with executives and engineers.
- Preferred experience with open-source developer tooling, CLI engines, public API ecosystems, agent evaluation frameworks, or automated CI/CD code-generation pipelines.

- The stated base salary range is $218,400-$365,200 annually, or $263,200-$401,400 annually in select San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area locations; bonus, equity, and benefits are excluded.
