Responsibilities

  • Build and optimize the Metal runtime executing directly on Tenstorrent AI accelerators.
  • Develop bare-metal systems for compute execution, scheduling, and resource utilization.
  • Optimize memory movement and data flow across massively parallel hardware.
  • Collaborate with hardware teams to maximize architectural performance and efficiency.
  • Debug, analyze, and tune runtime behavior across complex distributed systems.

Requirements

  • Strong programming ability in C or C++ and an interest in working close to hardware.
  • Experience writing fast parallel code across multiple processors and reasoning about threads, processors, and memory movement.
  • Experience optimizing execution, scheduling, and memory systems for performance at scale.
  • Ability to debug at the hardware/software boundary and reason about system behavior end to end.
  • Curiosity about runtimes and bare-metal software powering AI systems.
  • Collaborative approach to solving complex systems problems.
