Base Salary
$129k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, review, test, maintain, and optimize real-time embedded location software.
- Develop multithreaded software with inter-process communication and multiple software/firmware interfaces.
- Collaborate with hardware teams to verify features and debug hardware-related issues.
- Work with systems teams on algorithm development, digital signal processing, and implementation.
- Collaborate with test teams to diagnose and resolve system-level functional and performance issues.
- Contribute to software architecture, system design discussions, and development methodology.
- Optimize software for performance, memory usage, and power efficiency.
- Develop GNSS signal acquisition and tracking functionality, including acquisition and tracking loops.
- Implement GNSS navigation algorithms, state machines, and optimization techniques.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 2+ years of software engineering or related experience; alternatively, a master’s degree plus 1+ year or a PhD in a related field.
- 2+ years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Preferred experience includes 3–5 years designing, developing, and debugging medium- to large-scale real-time embedded systems.
- Strong C programming skills and understanding of real-time operating systems and multithreaded software design.
- Experience with ARM-based development and debugging tools such as TRACE32.
- Background in digital signal processing and GNSS receiver concepts and operation.
- Experience with GNSS measurement engine receiver design, signal acquisition and tracking, and GNSS navigation algorithms.
- Knowledge of WWAN technologies such as WCDMA, LTE, and 5G or other communication protocols.
- Experience with MATLAB and scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
- Experience in MIPS profiling, memory optimization, and power optimization.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and understand end-to-end system goals.
