Responsibilities
- Set the technical direction for core agent systems, including automation building, runtime reliability, evaluations, and observability.
- Lead ambiguous backend and full-stack projects that materially advance the product.
- Improve architecture, feedback loops, code reviews, and engineering standards.
- Mentor teammates through pairing sessions, code reviews, and strong engineering practices.
- Transform customer SOPs, decision trees, portal behaviors, and edge cases into robust automations.
- Build systems that draft workflows, test them, detect failures, suggest improvements, and trigger human intervention when needed.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software development experience.
- Experience leading complex backend or platform projects with real production impact.
- Ability to turn ambiguous product goals into clear, executable technical direction.
- Strong systems design experience with distributed systems, databases, APIs, queues, asynchronous workflows, and observability.
- Experience integrating AI tools into development workflows and experimenting with unconventional solutions.
- Ability to mentor and elevate engineers while remaining hands-on with code.
- High agency, strong ownership, and effective prioritization skills.
- Preferred experience with platform, infrastructure, or workflow systems at scale; agentic products or agent-based workflows; LLMs or AI models in production backend systems; event-driven architectures, workflow engines, observability, or runtime reliability; and healthcare operations or revenue cycle management.
