Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality production software solutions.
- Build and maintain Java and Spring Boot applications and services for merchant fraud protection.
- Create architecture and design artifacts and ensure software implementations meet design constraints.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets to identify patterns and improve application code quality and system architecture.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI coding tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating their outputs.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools and automation practices to improve engineering effectiveness.
- Support application testing, operational stability, resiliency, and secure delivery.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate and refine their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Knowledge of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Practical experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
- Experience with AWS services including ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, EC2, Kafka, and NLB.
- Experience with databases and the software development lifecycle, including application resiliency and security practices.
- Experience working with AI agents or copilots for engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
- Preferred familiarity with modern frontend technologies and exposure to cloud technologies.
