Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain microservices and APIs.
- Build scalable, stable, user-friendly products for current and future growth.
- Design and implement integrations with external systems using APIs, middleware, and custom development.
- Design scalable software solutions that support business functions and product goals.
- Provide technical guidance, architectural documentation, and hands-on coding support to a growing team.
- Collaborate with Product and engineering teams to ensure solutions meet requirements.
- Work in a source-controlled, tested, and continuously deployed software engineering environment.
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Applied Math, or an Engineering area.
- At least 5 years of software development experience, especially with cloud-based applications.
- Strong experience designing and developing web applications and cloud databases.
- Proficiency with Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot.
- Deep understanding of service-oriented, API, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with microservices, APIs, and message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Experience with one or more of PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, or Elasticsearch.
- Experience scaling global web applications.
- Experience with automated testing, continuous integration, CI/CD pipelines, and product development.
- Strong object-oriented programming skills and ability to produce clean, standards-compliant, secure code.
- Good written and spoken English and willingness to learn new technologies and technical approaches.
