Responsibilities
- Develop AAA-quality game features and systems using Unreal Engine.
- Write readable, maintainable, debuggable code and perform code reviews.
- Find technical solutions for game development challenges and create technical design documents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and guide frontend and backend teams in implementing gameplay features.
- Participate in planning, align stakeholders on specifications, and communicate risks.
- Improve development quality and efficiency by eliminating waste and refining processes.
- Debug and profile large codebases while optimizing frame rate and memory consumption.
- Develop conversational game functionality using generative AI, agents, and related voice and language technologies.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of game development experience.
- Expert knowledge of C++ and proficiency with Unreal Engine.
- Good knowledge of C# and Unreal Engine-level AI tools.
- Experience with generative AI for conversational games, particularly In-World API and agents; Bedrock or similar tools are also relevant.
- Knowledge of character and animation setup, real-time lip-sync solutions, and MetaHuman.
- General knowledge of LLM text analysis and response generation, text-to-speech with voice cloning, guardrails filtering, and speech recognition using Whisper or similar tools.
- Understanding of online architecture, frontend integration, client-server communication, and socket-based network protocols.
- Experience with technical architecture, design principles, coding patterns, debugging, profiling, and performance optimization.
- Knowledge of Unreal Engine components including rendering, AI, networking, navigation, physics, and UI.
- Experience using Jenkins or other CI/CD toolchains.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and strong English proficiency.
- Preferred: at least one shipped PC or console title, cross-platform game development, 3D rendering with DirectX, OpenGL, Vulkan, or Gnmx, and unit or integration testing frameworks.
