Responsibilities
- Build prototypes, proofs of concept, and production-grade agentic AI solutions within a defined technical approach.
- Implement and test tool use, retrieval pipelines, and agent workflows.
- Contribute to evaluation, observability, guardrails, and outcome measurement for agentic systems.
- Integrate AI capabilities into existing enterprise workflows and systems through APIs and data pipelines.
- Maintain high-quality, reusable code and documentation, including patterns, reference implementations, and starter kits.
- Identify technical risks and blockers early, complete moderately complex bug fixes, and collaborate with technical peers to finalize requirements.
- Work with host-function stakeholders to ensure solutions fit real workflows and support handover and capability-building.
- Keep current with technology developments and adapt to evolving squad needs.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software engineering experience with hands-on production experience building LLM-powered applications such as RAG, tool-augmented agents, or agentic workflows.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Experience building RAG pipelines, tool-augmented agents, and agentic workflows, with familiarity in prompt engineering, context management, evaluation, and observability.
- Understanding of agent memory, tools, retrieval, and multi-step task completion.
- Experience integrating AI into existing systems through APIs and data pipelines.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with modern software delivery practices, TDD, code review, and relevant AI SDKs.
- Experience working with relational, columnar, and vector stores and sound data-modeling principles.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, TypeScript or JavaScript, and SQL.
- Ability to instrument solutions and measure usage, productivity, and quality against established baselines.
- Clear written and verbal communication with technical peers and stakeholders, and comfort working autonomously in short, time-boxed delivery cycles.
