Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams delivering reliable, secure, scalable, and maintainable software.
- Review requirements, refine user stories, define acceptance criteria, and break complex initiatives into deliverables.
- Guide architectural and technical decisions across services and engineering teams.
- Lead code reviews, refactoring, component redesign, technical debt reduction, and performance optimization.
- Improve microservices observability through monitoring, logging, tracing, troubleshooting, and reliability practices.
- Identify and prioritize security vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation with Security and DevOps teams.
- Mentor developers, resolve complex technical challenges, and promote software engineering best practices.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily meetings, effort estimation, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Coordinate technical dependencies and align engineering approaches across multiple teams.
- Drive improvements to CI/CD, testing practices, technical documentation, and development standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Maven, Liquibase, and Jakarta EE.
- Full-stack frontend experience with Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, and SCSS.
- Experience designing and developing microservices and distributed applications.
- Hands-on experience with GraphQL and RabbitMQ.
- Experience with MS SQL Server and/or MySQL.
- Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and EKS.
- Experience with Jenkins and Azure DevOps for CI/CD.
- Understanding of code quality, automated testing, performance optimization, and software engineering best practices.
- Experience with technical leadership, code reviews, mentoring, and architectural guidance.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with distributed, cross-functional teams.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Preferred experience with DataDog, Grafana, Grafana Loki, Prometheus, JUnit, TestContainers, Mockito, MockServer, Jasmine, Postman, SOAP UI, Sonar, Cognito, and JBoss.
- Preferred experience with security and vulnerability management, engineering workflow improvements, development standards, testing strategies, technical documentation, Microsoft Copilot, Custom Skills, and Agents.
