Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs, microservices, and data access services.
  • Build integrations with third-party systems and enterprise platforms using REST, GraphQL, asynchronous messaging, and event streaming.
  • Design cloud-native, event-driven solutions for globally used business systems.
  • Model, structure, and optimize data for high-volume transactional and read-heavy workloads.
  • Contribute to architecture decisions involving scalability, resilience, caching, observability, security, and performance.
  • Identify technical debt and improve architecture, code quality, operational stability, testing, automation, and documentation.
  • Support release management, CI/CD, monitoring, incident analysis, and continuous improvement of production systems.
  • Collaborate with architects, platform engineers, product teams, and engineering teams across regions.
  • Mentor engineers and help raise the engineering standards of the team.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional experience in backend software engineering.
  • Strong experience developing RESTful APIs, GraphQL APIs, microservices, and cloud-native backend services.
  • Strong programming experience in TypeScript or Java, with the role title also referencing .NET and Node.js.
  • Understanding of distributed systems, API-first development, domain-driven design, SOLID principles, and clean architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with NoSQL or document databases, preferably MongoDB, including data modeling, query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.
  • Experience building event-driven architectures with Azure Event Hubs, Event Grid, Service Bus, Kafka, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with Azure, containers, Kubernetes, and preferably AKS.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably Azure DevOps.
  • Understanding of logging, monitoring, observability, and production support using Application Insights or equivalent tools.
  • Experience with automated testing, code reviews, continuous integration, and iterative delivery in agile teams.
  • Fluent English communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams and domains.
  • Preferred experience includes MongoDB cluster administration, advanced MongoDB performance optimization, AKS administration, platform engineering, SAP systems, enterprise integrations, data migration, caching, CQRS, read models, master data, commerce domains, and Azure certifications or platform management.
