Base Salary
$138k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality production software and algorithms.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs.
- Create architecture and design artifacts and ensure software implementations meet design constraints.
- Analyze and visualize large, diverse datasets to identify problems and improve application coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Deploy and operate services across cloud, database, messaging, streaming, and event-processing platforms.
- Guide peers on responsible AI use, including data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, operational stability, debugging, and maintenance in a large corporate environment.
- Experience with Java or Python and SQL, plus strong database query, schema, and performance tuning skills.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating and refining their outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, the Software Development Life Cycle, application resiliency, security, and CI/CD.
- Experience deploying and running services such as EC2, Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, EBE, RDS, DynamoDB, VPC, and API Gateway.
- Experience with Aurora/PostgreSQL, Kafka or Amazon Kinesis/MSK/SQS/SNS, and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Preferred: familiarity with React and AWS certifications including Developer, Solutions Architect, ML Engineer, AI Developer, DevOps Engineer, or CloudOps Engineer.
