Responsibilities
- Own and develop core Fiducial Scout functionality including interception detection, collision avoidance, target acquisition, and GNSS-denied visual navigation.
- Shape and drive the short- to medium-term development roadmap.
- Develop and maintain real-time 3D vision and aerial robotics software for onboard UAV deployment.
- Work with camera calibration, sensor timestamp integrity, time synchronization, 3D reconstruction, GPU programming, and graphics pipelines.
- Depending on the project, serve as Tech Lead by guiding technical direction, coordinating implementation, and ensuring delivery.
- Integrate and debug software in UAVs and real-world flight-test conditions when required.
Requirements
- Good understanding of and experience with modern C++.
- Experience developing real-time software in areas such as games, simulation, robotics, or embedded systems.
- Strong familiarity with projective geometry, bundle adjustment, PnP, triangulation, feature description, image matching, and 3D reconstruction.
- Experience building photogrammetry, augmented reality, robotics, or visual/inertial odometry solutions.
- Experience with 3D Gaussian Splatting or derivatives.
- Strong understanding of transform trees, pose representations, quaternions, and spatial mathematics used in game engines, computer graphics, and robotics.
- Hands-on experience calibrating camera intrinsics and extrinsics, including practical work with inexpensive cameras and calibration drift.
- Experience maintaining timestamp integrity and sensor alignment, including diagnosing time offsets, jitter, dropped frames, and clock synchronization issues.
- Experience with GPU programming using CUDA or OpenCL and graphics pipelines using Vulkan or OpenGL.
- Experience with AI coding agents and prompt engineering.
- High autonomy, determination, and execution capability.
- UAV software integration experience, familiarity with current 3D vision academic literature, and outstanding engineering or execution capability are advantageous.
- Full-time availability of 40 hours per week.
