Responsibilities
- Assess the GameKit environment and existing monitoring and observability systems.
- Build scalable monitoring and observability systems using Prometheus/Grafana, Datadog, ELK, or similar tools.
- Build infrastructure and tooling with Terraform, Ansible, AWS CloudFormation, and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate operational processes with Python and Bash to reduce manual toil and improve deployment reliability.
- Operate and improve containerized applications on Kubernetes platforms including EKS, AKS, and GKE.
- Contribute to incident response and post-mortems while identifying improvements to reliability and automation.
- Take ownership of SRE plans, guide cross-team collaboration, mentor engineers, and promote scalable engineering practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience building SRE practices from the ground up.
- Experience operating cloud platforms, especially AWS and Azure.
- Experience with monitoring, observability, and incident response at scale.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation.
- Experience with on-call rotations or reliability-focused projects.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and influencing engineering culture through documentation and collaboration.
- Ability to improve processes and team capabilities in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
