Base Salary
$185k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Perform architecture reviews, threat modeling, and security design reviews across various systems.
- Develop security standards and secure design patterns for teams.
- Define and improve the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Lead security assessments for new products and major features.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on security architecture and risk tradeoffs.
- Communicate security concepts clearly across different audiences.
- Design and build reusable security patterns and developer tooling.
- Implement security automation to enhance security posture.
- Partner with Platform Engineering on cloud security and infrastructure hardening.
- Define secure patterns for AI-enabled products and evaluate AI security risks.
- Prototype and deliver initial production-ready implementations for strategic initiatives.
- Contribute to security incident response and investigations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience with production software.
- Strong programming fundamentals in at least one modern language.
- Experience with application security reviews and threat modeling.
- Experience designing or securing cloud-native applications.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, and CI/CD.
- Ability to influence engineering organizations through technical leadership.
- Strong systems thinking and sound judgment in ambiguous environments.
- Ability to translate security risk into business and engineering terms.
