Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure with Terraform.
- Architect and manage enterprise Kubernetes clusters on Amazon EKS and/or Azure AKS.
- Build and evolve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD with GitOps workflows.
- Integrate DevSecOps frameworks, compliance scanning, SAST, and dependency or SCA scanning into delivery pipelines.
- Evaluate and use AI tooling to improve infrastructure automation, code reviews, and troubleshooting.
- Guide software teams on cloud-native application architecture, infrastructure, security, and operational practices.
- Manage hybrid networking, VPNs, ExpressRoute or Direct Connect, subnets, routing, firewalls, and DNS.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, paired programming, workshops, and architectural guidance.
- Participate in an engineering on-call rotation for production availability and reliability.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in DevOps, cloud architecture, or site reliability engineering, with experience in a senior or lead capacity.
- Strong production experience managing workloads across both AWS and Azure.
- Experience with cloud-native security tools such as Wiz, CrowdStrike, AWS GuardDuty, AWS Security Hub, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
- Experience integrating OWASP, CIS Benchmarks, or NIST frameworks and automated security tools into CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with SAST and dependency or SCA scanning tools such as Snyk, SonarQube, CrowdStrike, and Aqua Trivy.
- Advanced, production-tested Terraform experience, including modules, state management, and workspace optimization.
- Deep hands-on experience running mission-critical workloads on Amazon EKS and/or Azure AKS, including ingress controllers, Azure Application Gateway, and network policies.
- Extensive experience building pipelines with GitHub Actions or GitLab CI and understanding GitOps principles, including Argo CD and Flux.
- Deep knowledge of subnets, VPC/VNet peering, routing, firewalls, VPN topologies, and private or public DNS resolution.
- Exceptional communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to developers and business stakeholders.
