Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize CPU software for high performance, low power, and scalability.
- Run application benchmarks and perform pre- and post-silicon verification against performance and power goals.
- Develop benchmarks for emerging areas and workloads across product segments.
- Analyze software workloads across libraries, compilers, assembly, runtimes, and algorithms to identify optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with CPU, compiler, kernel, benchmark vendor, and open-source teams to implement performance solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with 2+ years of software engineering or related experience; or a master's degree with 1+ year; or a PhD in a relevant field.
- 2+ years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Excellent programming skills in C, C++, Assembly, Python, and JavaScript.
- In-depth understanding of Linux internals and device drivers.
- Strong understanding of computer architecture and operating system concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to address challenging performance problems.
