Responsibilities
- Own complex, multi-system initiatives from architecture and technical specifications through production delivery.
- Design resilient cloud-native microservice architectures for compliance telemetry, evidence ingestion, and low-latency risk evaluation.
- Define technical roadmaps, milestones, sprint backlogs, and execution plans with product, security, and GRC stakeholders.
- Establish engineering standards, conduct code and architecture reviews, enforce secure coding practices, and set CI/CD and testing benchmarks.
- Design and implement Policy as Code and Compliance as Code engines and runtime platforms for infrastructure and enterprise-control auditing.
- Lead automated evidence-collection pipelines integrating with AWS, Azure, GCP, identity providers, security tools, CI/CD pipelines, ticketing systems, and corporate applications.
- Build risk analysis engines and auditing interfaces that map technical evidence to regulatory standards.
- Lead adoption of AI coding assistants for test generation, refactoring, productivity, and engineering workflow integration.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers and lead technical discussions across a distributed asynchronous-first team.
Requirements
- 6–13 years of professional full-stack software engineering experience, including 3+ years at the SMTS or LMTS level leading technical projects and distributed engineering teams.
- Proven experience delivering complex SaaS platforms or enterprise software from architectural inception through production.
- Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into architecture designs, technical epics, and execution plans.
- Deep expertise in Python and Java, enterprise frameworks, and microservices design patterns.
- Advanced proficiency with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks and scalable component libraries or data visualization dashboards.
- Experience using AI coding assistants including Claude, Gemini, OpenAI, and GitHub Copilot.
- Expertise with relational, NoSQL, and graph databases; distributed data processing; Docker; Kubernetes; and AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, ISO/IEC 27001, and SOC 2 Trust Services Criteria.
- Direct experience building or architecting continuous control monitoring, automated audit trails, or policy-engine evaluation systems.
- Preferred experience with commercial GRC, SIEM, or CSPM systems; Open Policy Agent or similar policy-as-code tools; security certifications such as CISSP or CCSP; or Salesforce technologies including Lightning Web Components, Apex, and SOQL.
