Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve high-quality, scalable, maintainable, and performance-optimized software solutions.
- Build medium-to-large Java applications, APIs, integrations, data pipelines, and event-driven systems.
- Develop interactive front-end interfaces using React or Angular.
- Translate business and functional requirements into technical and functional designs for Java and API-based projects.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and other functions to define requirements and deliver integrated solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, promote code quality and knowledge sharing, and implement effective unit testing practices.
- Apply secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data.
- Work with cloud environments, containerization, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and Unix-based operational tasks.
- Provide technical guidance, influence stakeholders, support decision-making, and identify ways to mitigate risk and strengthen controls.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of experience developing medium-to-large Java applications.
- Strong experience with Core Java, multithreading, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security.
- Working knowledge of REST- and SOAP-based API development, HTTP, web services, and API integrations.
- Knowledge of data pipelines and event-driven architecture using Kafka or another messaging system.
- Hands-on Unix experience for scripting, log checks, and process checks.
- Strong SQL knowledge with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- Experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS, plus containerization, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Experience working in Agile development environments, preferably Scrum or Kanban.
- Experience developing effective interactive front-end user interfaces with React or Angular.
- Experience using GitLab, Visual Studio Code, IntelliJ, Eclipse, and JIRA.
- Python-based development experience is valued.
- Experience building systems in trading, banking, or other financial organizations is valued.
- Ability to lead collaborative assignments, communicate complex information, influence stakeholders, and manage risk and controls.
