Responsibilities
- Take customer problems from discovery through production in a small pod, using customer feedback to guide incremental delivery.
- Direct AI agents to draft implementations, tests, and migrations, then review, integrate, and harden the resulting work.
- Design and deliver production systems with attention to correctness, performance, resource efficiency, testing, and observability.
- Work across the codebase, including front end, back end, data, and infrastructure, wherever the problem requires.
- Move between pods, problems, and streams as priorities change while leaving shipped systems running well.
- Take accountability for outcomes, raise risks early, and make decisions rather than escalating them.
Requirements
- Have built and shipped production systems end-to-end through design, rollout, monitoring, and iteration.
- Have designed testing and observability that make complex behavior understandable, debuggable, and safe to evolve.
- Work effectively in a polyglot environment and learn unfamiliar languages, domains, and codebases quickly.
- Have strong systems experience; Rust, C/C++, or Python experience is valued.
- Have shipped work outside a primary technical layer, including front end, data, or infrastructure work when needed.
- Use AI tools seriously in software development and have the judgment to direct, review, and take responsibility for their output.
- Bring product and design judgment to engineering work and make sensible decisions under ambiguity.
- Own outcomes beyond immediate tasks and make decisions independently.
