Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain DevOps practices for Apple B2B systems.
- Support internet-facing production services and distributed systems through deployments, on-call operations, and incident management.
- Manage the lifecycle of machine-learning models in production and non-production environments.
- Assess and improve system scalability, reliability, performance, and operational processes.
- Detect anomalies, identify optimization opportunities, and implement reliability improvements.
- Implement and coordinate telemetry using monitoring and observability tools.
- Build and operate container orchestration systems and troubleshoot Kubernetes issues from operating-system and application perspectives.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams and Apple supply-chain partners.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or an infrastructure-focused role.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java or Python.
- Strong Java programming experience building web, middleware, or backend applications.
- Experience supporting internet-facing production services and distributed systems.
- Experience with Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar monitoring and observability tools.
- Experience with Kubernetes, EKS, multi-cloud environments, or hybrid cloud environments.
- Deep understanding of Oracle or similar relational databases and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Experience tuning application and database performance.
- Knowledge of HTTP/S, TCP, DNS, and web application load balancing.
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, signing, encryption, SSL/TLS, SSH/SFTP, PKI, X509 certificates, and PGP.
- Preferred: knowledge of Webmethods Integration Server or another middleware platform.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical groups.
