Base Salary
$95k - $176k/yr
Responsibilities
- Participate in client technical discovery sessions, gather requirements, and help scope legal AI use cases.
- Design, develop, deploy, and support AI-powered solutions for legal workflows.
- Build RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, automation scripts, APIs, integrations, and other multi-component AI systems.
- Configure and integrate CoCounsel, Westlaw, Practical Law, and other enterprise platforms for customer environments.
- Create demonstrations, proofs of concept, prototypes, reusable components, documentation, and implementation plans.
- Evaluate LLM outputs for accuracy, relevance, citation quality, consistency, and hallucination risk using test cases, benchmarks, and real legal tasks.
- Collaborate with legal, product, engineering, architecture, and other internal stakeholders to deliver scalable, maintainable, secure, and compliant solutions.
- Experiment with prompting strategies, workflow improvements, and emerging AI techniques for legal use cases.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of software engineering experience, including production application or integration development.
- Hands-on experience with Python and familiarity with modern AI/ML tooling and APIs.
- Understanding of machine learning and LLM concepts, including prompt design, evaluation, and workflow orchestration.
- Experience integrating external APIs, automating workflows, or building data pipelines.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with containerization, deployment workflows, and modern software development practices.
- Experience using AI platforms or APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic.
- Exposure to vector databases, embeddings, search, or retrieval systems.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills with legal, product, and engineering stakeholders.
- Experience with AI solutions in legal, compliance, financial, healthcare, or other regulated or professional domains is preferred; portfolio or project examples demonstrating practical LLM, automation, or applied AI work are valued.
