Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end frontend and backend web application development on a cross-functional team.
- Translate business needs into acceptance criteria and scalable technical solutions.
- Mentor teammates through code reviews, pair programming, and process improvement.
- Optimize applications for accessibility, performance, availability, and latency.
- Write tests, contribute to reliability frameworks, and identify automation opportunities.
- Investigate and resolve production issues in collaboration with the site reliability team.
- Implement new technologies and improvements across multiple teams and applications.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of web development experience.
- Proficiency with JavaScript, React or similar frontend frameworks, and Redux or similar state management.
- Experience building APIs with Node.js, GraphQL, and Express.
- Experience with modern JavaScript, the open-source ecosystem, and software development practices.
- Ability to optimize for accessibility and performance and translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
- Ability to break down and plan execution, mentor engineers, and improve developer experience.
- Comfort working with Agile development methodologies and DevOps principles.
- Strong collaboration, initiative, innovation, and automation-oriented problem-solving skills.
