Base Salary
$120k - $165k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop Java-based electronic pricing services and APIs.
- Build and integrate APIs with internal pricing engines and downstream systems.
- Contribute to application and integration architecture.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and scalable solutions.
- Collaborate with Sales, Trading, IT, and other technology teams.
- Support near-real-time client pricing requests and understand pricing workflows.
- Ensure application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and stakeholder meetings.
- Provide technical leadership and potentially mentor junior developers.
Requirements
- 8–10+ years of software development experience.
- Strong Java development expertise and experience designing and integrating REST APIs.
- Strong understanding of application and integration architecture.
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders and translating functional requirements into technical solutions.
- Capital markets experience, including understanding of equity products, particularly options and derivatives.
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or Quantitative Finance.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with electronic or real-time pricing applications is preferred.
- Experience integrating with pricing engines is preferred.
- Experience supporting Sales or Trading desks is preferred.
- Technical leadership or mentoring experience is preferred.
