Responsibilities
- Optimize Spark/YARN job performance by analyzing resource usage and identifying inefficiencies.
- Build job profiling systems for classification and historical trend analysis.
- Produce optimization reports and drive implementation of improvements.
- Utilize AI coding tools to accelerate development and tool delivery.
- Participate in cost optimization projects for EMR/S3 and drive action on high-cost jobs.
- Develop automated operations scripts for health checks and anomaly alerting.
- Maintain and improve existing monitoring systems and assist with capacity alerting.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proficient in Python and able to write clean, maintainable scripts independently.
- Fluent in AI coding tools for development and troubleshooting.
- Comfortable with Linux for running programs and debugging issues.
